At Mover, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle user data in a transparent way, in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and applicable privacy laws.
1. Information We Collect We collect information from or about you, including device information, as follows:
a) Personal Information you provide: – Name, phone number, email address – Pickup and delivery addresses – Profile photo (if you upload one)
b) Information collected automatically: – Location Data: Precise and approximate location to show nearby movers, calculate distance, track your move in real-time, and provide accurate ETAs. Location is collected only when you use the app and when you give permission. – Device Information: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, IP address, crash logs. – Usage Data: Booking history, app interactions.
c) Permissions we access: – ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: To find movers and track your move. – CAMERA / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: Only if you choose to upload a profile photo or item photos for a quote. – POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To send booking status and tracking updates.
We do NOT collect sensitive data like passwords in plain text, financial credentials, or data from other apps.
2. How We Use Your Data We use collected data only for policy-compliant purposes disclosed here: – To provide and operate the moving services (booking, dispatching, tracking) – To calculate pricing and ETAs – To communicate about your bookings – To improve app performance, fix bugs, and ensure security – To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations We limit the use of data to these purposes only.
3. How We Share Your Data We do NOT sell your personal data. We share data only as necessary: – With Movers/Drivers: Your name, phone number, and pickup/delivery location to complete your move. – With Service Providers: Google Maps / Google Play Services for maps and location, Firebase for analytics and crash reporting. – For Legal Reasons: If required by law. All third parties are required to handle your data securely and only for the stated purposes.
4. Data Handling, Retention and Security We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide services or as required by law. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.
5. Personal and Sensitive User Data Location data is considered Personal and Sensitive User Data. We request it in context, with a clear in-app disclosure before permission. You can grant or deny location permission at any time from device settings. The app will still work with limited functionality if you deny it.

7. Children’s Privacy Mover is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
